USB Driver
The USB driver packages for GSV-2MSD-DI and GSV-8 do not contain the actual driver file itself. This is the Windows driver for standard devices of the CDC device class "usbser.sys" and is usually kept in Windows; the manufacturer is Microsoft.
Our driver package contains a signed information file (*.inf) that points to usbser.sys; furthermore, an executable file (dpinst.exe) that prepares the "Windows Driver Store" to automatically load the driver when the devices are connected

No driver required, the GSV-2 or GSV-8 device is automatically recognized
Windows XP bis Windows 8
The driver package must be installed before connecting the device for the first time.
Windows Embedded (XP bis Windows 10 IoT)
Windows Embedded is a modular operating system that is usually preconfigured by the manufacturer or distributor of the computer. The manufacturer or distributor determines which parts the system contains. The USB driver usbser.sys is often not included, so the installation of our driver package fails (see above).
In this case, please contact the distributor of your Windows Embedded system or perform a Windows update online; however, this may require a lot of hard disk space, as many additional modules may be installed later.
