Solar Panel

Hello,

I am new to this Forum and I find this project very interesting! In the future I'll try to build my own autark smartcamera.

For the power supply I want to use a solar panel.

I thought it might be interesting for some of you too, I found this on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/5V-1A-5W-Solar-P ... 3cd0a3ea12

pretty cheap and lots of power, this might power the smartphone with underclocked CPU and extra battery soldered to the phones battery port completely autark.

When I get one of these I will post a review of this.

Greetings Bent

Hello,
i found this application of LT3652 (IC with maximum power point tracking) for charging 1 liion cell with solar panel:

1) missing wire!
2) add a low pass 0,1Ohm-100µF; (if no low pass: load current is dependent from cable length; without accu you may destroy your load circuit)
3) add 470µF/50V
4) use a mosfet instead a diode to improve the efficiency up to 87% instead of 80% as suggested from Jay Celani and mictronics;
5) add connectors for accu AND for your load circuit
6) add a resistor 180K; at this position; R4=330k, R3=91K;
7) add resistors 12k and connector for charge- and error LED
8) R2=100K, R1=420K for 14V tracking voltage;
9) separate Sense and Bat from Boost and SW as suggested in LT3652 datasheet!

Maximum Power Point Tracking

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_Power_Point
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_Po ... t_Tracking
http://www.epcos.de/web/generator/Web/S ... int=0.html
